A wine held together by explosive creaminess. Hazelnuts, dried apricot and vanilla notes are dominated by light tobacco and shortbread.

Pommery Grand Cru 1998

In brief An exceptional wine, 1995, a rare vintage in the Champagne region.
Tasting notes *Colour* A fine warm gold colour with green highlights. Nose A few lively notes enhanced by the rich notes of the 1995 vintage. Mouthfeel Brisk and fresh at first leading to a sense of great subtlety and body and culminating in a creamy, fleshy texture.
Drinking occasions A rare wine for special occasions, ideal with a meal.

In 1998, POMMERY created seasonal champagnes and launched: • Blanc de Noirs, WINTERTIME, specially developed for winter. • Blanc de Blancs, SUMMERTIME, specially developed for summer.
Tasting notes *Colour* Straw gold with low-key amber highlights. Nose Direct and lively, raised by apple notes. Mouthfeel Warm aromas of ripe fruit progressively infused with the flavours of quince and red fruits.
Drinking occasions Wintertime is ideal for those warm winter moments spent by the fireside. It thrives when it accompanies traditional food with winter flavours. WINTERTIME is a Blanc de Noirs produced from a dozen Pinot Noir and Meunier grape varieties giving this refined blend a complexity and providing an excellent mature wine. This is a wine with endearing round and fleshy notes. WINTERTIME will keep you company during the period of the year when the days are the shortest and flavours the richest.

Pommery Cuvee Louise 1995

1995 was “a year fraught with danger” for the vine growing cycle in the Champagne region.
However, local wine growers are accustomed to danger.
They are forced to live with it and to overcome it.

Through perseverance, observation and care, Pommery hand picked grapes from its Ay, Avize and Cramant vineyards to be included in the exclusive Cuvée Louise.

Tasting notes
The colour in the glass is pale yellow reflecting the wine’s delicacy. Endless strings of bubbles enliven the wine is cheerful.
Raising the glass to the nose is a captivating, almost spell-binding experience. The nose reveals fine and pure aromatic richness as well as delicacy and freshness.
The Chardonnay grape is strongly present, expressing distinction and complexity. Its citrus fruit notes combine with slightly spicy end notes.

The wine flows in the mouth without sharpness or excessive roundness. The finesse and delicacy produces a wonderful taste.
