How do we guarantee security for the transfer of your account number?
Once your credit card number and its expiration date are entered in the right fields, they are automatically crypted. When we receive your order, we decrypt this information to process your order. Therefore, your credit card number remains confidential during all the transfer on Internet round.


Entirely secured payment system
The "Secured by Geotrust" button assures our customers that FinestWine.com has been authenticated by Geotrust and that confidential transactions with FinestWine.com are secured by SSL encryption.
SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer. This cryptage system is the most commonly used to protect data transfer between customer and server. Moreover it is compatible with the main Internet navigators. Other cryptage systems are used but they are less common or still in development. As soon as they are efficient and available they will be installed on our server.
We accept Visa - Mastercard - American Express.
For security purpose, you can send your credit card number and expiry date directly by phone (+33 556 680 545) or fax (+33 556 680 977).
When you pay by credit card for all products shipped from France, you will be charged in €uros and your bank will charge you for the currency exchange, this is why we encourage you to pay by wire transfer.


International transactions
Your bank may charge you a fee up to 3% of the amount of the transaction, whether originally made in US dollars or converted from a foreign currency.
Payment by SWIFT - WIRE (electronic payments) consists in wiring the amount directly from your bank to ours. Contact us to get our bank information.
Please notify us as soon as you have sent the wire transfer so we can confirm reception of payment and process your order.


When and how is the payment charged on your credit card?
Your credit card is charged only after verifying that the item is still available and or after we have checked the quality of each bottle ordered. You will receive an automatic confirmation.

Regarding merchandises which are shipped from France, the amount of the shipping charges in €uros will be invoiced in USD, this is why there is always a small difference between the price on the site and the amount that will be charged on your account.
In case you did not give your credit card number on the order form, we would contact you so as to know whether you prefer doing it by e-mail, fax or phone.
We shall only confirm your order once we know your credit card number. If your number is not transmitted, your order will be cancelled within a few days.


Currency Exchange Rate
Invoices can be drawn out in Euros or USD. The value expressed in the currency chosen by the customer depends on the currency exchange rate on the date of the invoice.
For payment by credit card, our business partners are paid in Euros and the customer is charged according to the exchange rate applied by his or her bank. Therefore, there might be a difference between the amount of the order and the amount charged on his account. This difference corresponds to his or her bank commission.


Property rights
Items are only shipped to the customer after we receive the corresponding payment (by credit card or Swift). All delivered goods shipped from French territory remain the property of our business partners until full payment of the order, as stated in the French law 80-335, dated May 12, 1990.
