Customer Service Shipping and Taxes

We use New Generation Polyvalent System triple thickness cartons with polyurethane inside. Our packaging has been designed especially against physical and thermal shocks of bottles during transportation. The main qualities of this type of packaging is a full protection of the bottles.

Delivery Time
We have included in the shipping table the average time necessary for Customs clearance. Some shipments can be delayed at Customs by administration. This is out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for these delays.

Our prices do not include local taxes or customs duty.


 Hot Weather Shipping
If the weather is too hot at the time you place your order, we can store your bottles up to 6 months in our wine cellar in Bordeaux, France and ship them to you at your convenience. This service is FREE OF CHARGE up to 6 months.

Delivery Advice
Your shipment will be handled with utmost care, but we recommend upon delivery that you open the box(es) and check the merchandise before signing on the delivery receipt. If one or several items broke in transit, please specify on the delivery receipt which items and keep a copy of the delivery receipt for your records. Then, send us an email within 14 days of receipt of the parcel(s) and we will replace the merchandise as soon as possible or in case it is not available anymore, we will refund you.>


Local Regulations
 USA
The US government set up a regulation regarding shipment of alcoholic beverages. We can ship any alcohol through our agent with government approval and warning labels at no extra charge for our customers. We use the three-tier network system of distribution with suppliers, wholesalers and retailers. Product must go through each of these tiers what doesn't delay delivery. For large order we will ship your bottles to our agent importer in the US or others countries (Russia, China).
The merchandise will be shipped within US Ground Floor with UPS. For express delivery or air delivery please mention it on your purchase order. FinestWine.com is fully registered under the USA FDA Bio-terrorism requirements. Our speedy and efficient door-to-door service will continue as usual.

South-America
We can send any quantities of alcohol. Certain restrictions will apply to certain countries. You will be contacted and informed of possible restrictions as soon as we have received your order.

Russia
As long as we do have an importer in Russia, we can ship any quantity to private consumers.

 Canada
We can send alcoholic beverages to Canada using our carrier DHL. The parcel will be handled by our broker in Canada who will contact you. The merchandise will be delivered after payment of the duty has been received.

Asia
We can send any quantities of alcohol. Certain restrictions will apply depending countries. You will be contacted and informed of possible restrictions as soon as we have received your order.

 Europe
There are no quantity restriction for EC countries, but, we will charge French VAT except to companies with TAX ID and VAT Intra Communautary number wich will be exempted from taxes.

 France
There is no special regulation except the french VAT (19.60%)
