How do we proceed when the bid is over?
As soon as the bid is over, all participants will be contacted and the winner will receive a confirmation of his purchase by e-mail. This confirmation will specify everything regarding payment, shipping and delivery.
How are the items selected for an auction?
Each item presented by an auctioneer is carefully selected by our wine expert before being offered for auction. Our wine expert will take particular care in the current and visual condition of the bottle (cork, cap, label and wine level) but he will also inquire about the origin of the bottle and its storing conditions. If he has any doubt regarding one of these criteria, the auctioneer's proposal will be rejected. For a precise description of a given item, click on the name of the item.
How do I pay?
Your bank information is required on the form you fill in to register. As soon as you enter your credit card number and expiration date, it will be crypted and secured. FinestWine.com has an insurance coverage with FIA-NET that protects you from the risk of fraud on the Internet.
You will only be charged after receiving confirmation of your purchase. Payment will be done either by the Credit Card (Visa, Amex, Mastercard) you entered on the form or by SWIFT (electronic wire).
What about shipping insurance?
All our parcels are fully insured against any type of damage or loss. Furthermore, any customer can return the goods in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt. FinestWine.com will provide a full credit on the customer's credit card except for return shipping charges, which will be equivalent to the first shipping charges. Goods will be returned by the carrier chosen by FinestWine. We do not accept returns of opened goods or goods damaged by the recipient.
Do I have the right to import alcohol to my state?
Shipping alcohol is allowed in most countries. Some have specific regulations but this usually does not prevent shipment. If you are not aware of customs regulations in your country, please do not hesitate to contact us: email.
We can ship anywhere in the United States, either directly or to our US agent who will then ship the merchandise to you.
