How to Taste Wine in a Glass?
Importants hints for use glasses

Remember the following rules when handling these finest wines lover glasses.

Filling of the glass
Fill the glass only to its widest diameter of the bowl.
This will ensure maximum development of the bouquet as well as provide the most elegant table setting.

Swirling of the glass
Careful swirling of the glass in the hand allows the oxygen into the wine by increasing its surface area, helping to release the wines' rich mature aroma.

Holding the glass
The appropriately filled glass should always be held by the stem rather than the bowl as the body temperature from the hand could lift the wine above its intended optimum, and therefore negatively influence the bouquet of the wine.

Why and How to Decant Wines?
To decant wines means to transfer the wine from the bottle to a specific decanter or carafe before drinking. Due to the storage in bottles, the wine can develop a solid deposit or sediment at the bottom, which can be easily separated by means of refilling (decanting). Red wines are decanted, timely, well before serving. The decanting process provides oxygen to the wine owing to the greater surface diameter of the decanter than bottle, enabling the wine to breathe. Please allow appropriate length of time at room temperature (up to 1 hour), so that the wine can fully develop its bouquet.

Temperature of the Wines
Before decanting and/or serving the wine, please store it at its appropriate temperature (red wines at 15 to 17 degrees C, white at 10 to 12 degrees C). This serving temperature improves the quality of the wine, emphasizing bouquet and characteristics aromas.

Washing of the Glasses
Please always wash your glasses carefully, preferably by hand. Of course, all our glasses are suitable for dishwasher use, however please avoid excessive agressive detergents and choose a cool short cycle. In order to avoid detergent residue, please always rinse the glasses thoroughly in clean water. Dry the bowl of the glasses by hand, but please do not hold the glass by the stem or by the base, as the twisting action could in extreme cases lead to breakage of the stem at its narrowest part.
