This is an incredible Imperial bottle (6 l.) of Valmy Dubourdieu-Lange, a Cotes de Castillon, Bordeaux, France, made of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon. The first vintage was released in 1996 and the wine never stopped to gain renown since then. A 6 liters (6000ml) bottle is the ideal gift for any particular occasion, but it will also be perfect for a wedding or a dinner with friends. The wine itself has deep cherry-red colour with crimson highlights. The complex, elegant bouquet has truffle, toast, vanilla and forest floor overtones. These aromas come through beautifully on the palate, with suave, rich and well-balanced tannin. This wine will improve with 5 to 10 years' ageing. |
