Château Guiraud
This vineyard of 100 hectares is in the heart of the Sauternes region. Semillon and Chardonnay varietals grow exceptionally well on these well drained soils benefiting from intense concentration as a result of botrytis and produce rich, complex sweet white wines.This Premier Grand Cru Classé is, in our opinion, one of the best Sauternes. Matured in wood for 30 months with at least 50% new oak Guiraud shows the plump semillon fruity character, oaky complexity and considerable finesse. |
