Penfolds Wines
Penfolds is an Australian wine maker created in 1844 by Dr. Christopher Penfold Rawson, who emigrated in Australia with his wife Mary Penfold.
Christopher believed in wine medicinal virtues, and before arriving in Australia he got cuttings of vines from South of France. Penfolds is
one of the oldest vineyards in Australia.
Australia produces some of the best wines in the world. Among the most famous vineyards we can find: Penfolds, Rosemount Estate, Wynns Coonawarra Estate and Lindemans. The regions of Hunter Valley and Barossa are famous thanks to their vineyards which include many hectares of vines. Important wine parties are organised every odd year in these regions, which attracts many visitors who come to enjoy concerts, parades and meals.
Penfolds exploits several vineyars in the region of Adelaide where we can fins different grape varieties.
