Cap de Mourlin, Red Wine
Tasting notes
The wines of Château Cap de Mourlin are distinguished by their generosity, together with a great finesse and a very developed bouquet. These characteristics make it one of the most highly respected wines of Saint-Emilion.
The oldest vintage in the estate's cellar dates from 1928.
Château Cap de Mourlin can be found in the cellars of the Elysée (Presidential palace), Matignon (headquarters of the Prime Minister), the Senate, the National Assembly, and various government ministries. During the visit to the Elysée of astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and Neil Armstrong (October 8, 1969) and of Juan Carlos, future King of Spain (October 23, 1973), they served Château Cap de Mourlin 1962 and 1964. More recently, on February 11, 2003, Vladimir Poutine, President of Russian Federation, had the occasion to taste Château Cap de Mourlin 1995 at Matignon.
