Chateau Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse Saint Emilion Bordeaux France
Chateau Beauséjour, which has been renowned for a long time for its wines- has been in the property of the same family for eight generations.This estate -bequeathed in 1867 by Pierre-Paulin Ducarpe to his daughter, then married to Doctor Duffau-Lagarrosse- is composed of the family house close to the ancient Saint-Martin church (11th century) that overlooks the vineyard. The vineyard -seven unbroken hectares (about 14 acres)- lies a few yards west of Saint-Emilion on mixed soil of clay and limestone with asterias right in the very heart of the great vineyards. This estate, which was set up as a non-trading company (société civile) in 1963, has been handed down to this day to the descendants in direct line of the Duffau-Lagarrosse. Guided by long experience and concerned about the highest quality of their production, the present owners have managed to retain for their vineyard and its wines their ancient reputation.

25% Cabernet franc
15% Cabernet-Sauvignon Concentrated, old vine blackberry and cassis flavors are offset by violet, mineral and sweet oak nuances in this wine, which balances intense fruit extract with high-toned tannins and elegant acidity.
