Chateau Cap de Mourlin, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, France
The Capdemourlin family has been living in Saint-Emilion since 1580. The family gave its name to the estate, the oldest winery in the region, and where it has lived continually since 1580. Château Cap de Mourlin has been a member of the Academy of Wines of Bordeaux since 1948, and also belongs to the Association de Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Emilion and the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. In 1999, the estate underwent major renovation, with the construction of a new vat room, a temperature-controlled room for malolactic fermentation, and a barrel cellar. Château Cap de Mourlin has been classified as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé since 1954, date of the creation of the classification.
