The family de Maures de Malartic bought the estate in 1803. The name de Malartic was already well-known thanks to the Comte Hippolyte de Maures de Malartic. Indeed, he fought during the battle of Québec in 1756. In 1840, the chateau briefly belonged to Auguste Thibaudeau. In 1850, the estate was bought by Madame Arnaud Ricard. Thanks to her energy and determination, she succeeded in expanding the property when she acquired the estate of Chevalier in 1860.

Her son bought château de Fieuzal in 1892, château Haut-Gardère in 1894 and contributed to spreading out the estate. After his death in 1901, the property was constituted by four prestigious and well-known châteaux, which were administrated by the four grandchildren of Madame Ricard. One of them, Angèle Ricard inherited Château Malartic Lagravière and kept the spirit of her grandmother alive. That’s how the estate was handed on to generation after generation.
From 1990 to 1997, the property belonged to Laurent Perrier. When he decided to give up the estate and hand it over to Alfred Bonnie and his wife, Michele, the estate was completely reconstructed.
Château Malartic Lagravière is a Classified Graves Growth.
